How do we use this?

[edit source]

@ConsciousCode I am used to the see also template on wikipedia, where you give it a page name, and it generates an italic underheading saying "see also" and a link to the page.

I am using the visual editor. When I put the name of an existing page in the single available parameter, all I get is Error: no page names specified. I think the template or the visual editor are broken somehow.

The source for the template looks the same as on wikipedia.

I got as far as figuring out that the visual editor relies on something called "Template data" (whatever that is).

On wikipedia, there is a section in template:see also/doc labeled template data. However, the contents are a bit involved, and I have not read the documentation, and I don't feel comfortable trying to edit something with global consequences without knowing what I am doing. (My wiki experience is from several years ago, before this was a thing.) Thanks. Drakeula (talk) 21:11, 24 September 2025 (UTC)Reply
