Android Police reported in late January 2025 that the camera bar on Google Pixel 9 Pro models are separating from the main body of the phone, compromising dirt and water resistance of the device.[1]Google appears to be aware of the issue but has chosen not to repair impacted devices. Issues with the distinctive camera bar has been recurring, as highlighted by the article. With the Google Pixel 10 Pro featuring a nearly identical design, time will tell if the issue has been properly addressed or not.
Google has been selling Pixel phones for a long time, and although some older ones had issues, like the Google Pixel 4a and 6a’s Battery Performance program, they were mostly doing well.
