Article notice

[edit source]

@Beanie Bo I'm not sure about the AI notice here. To me it doesn't seem *that* AI-y (maybe used for translation from Spanish to english and for putting it together, but not unreasonably). If any element of an article is going to be a list of bullet points, a timeline is probably it, and in general it just seems like a basic recounting of events, and has sources which are (on the face of it) decent. IMO could probably be improved but reads as a fairly innoffensive shortish article, rather than slop. Keith (talk) 15:27, 16 September 2025 (UTC)Reply

I get what you mean. Though I personally have a high standard and low tolerance for AI generated text. I'm not faulting the contributor per se, but looking at these articles at face-value, it's very low quality. Single sentence bullet points to describe complex situations/events comes across as lazy and unhelpful, and often leads to more questions. It's like cramming notes on an index card instead of actually writing an article about the issue at hand, then the reader is forced to go to some other website to actually find useful information and more context.
It's an issue of enshittification and signal-to-noise ratio, and I find those things to be deeply frustrating. Like, I had to do a quick online search just to see what this article is even talking about - something that the opening paragraph at the very least should be clear and concise about.
AI text almost always has to be substantially rewritten to meet any decent standard of quality, so yeah I'm generally a fan of purging it altogether. Who else would put in the work of a complete re-write if not the original article "author" ? Beanie Bo (talk) 16:09, 16 September 2025 (UTC)Reply
